Te Runanga o Ngati Ruanui Trust are calling on its uri to start gearing up for our biennial festival this Labour Weekend October 22 to 23. The event, which will again be held at the TSB Hub in Hawera is a chance for Iwi, Hapu and whanau to reconnect and celebrate Ngati Ruanui.

We are hoping 16 hapu will participate in positive competitions with kapa haka, debating, Ruanui Idol and sports including a mini-tri with each team also required to perform a traditional Ngati Ruanui Waiata.

This year will see a new inclusion for Ngati Ruanui rangatahi 2NUiCode to display their innovation projects. Those interested in attending or helping out can contact us on 06 278 0148 or 0800 Ruanui.
