16 Sep Starting the journey on the right foot
Preparing your child for a rapidly changing future has been made easy with a free month trial at South Taranaki’s only bilingual early childhood centre.
Designed to showcase their numerous points of difference, the staff at Te Puawaitanga o Ngati Ruanui ECE are in little doubt that those who walk through their door will be instantly hooked.
The purpose-built facility offers made-to-measure support, creating a home away from home for those starting out on their educational journey. From nutritional meals to an enviable qualified teacher to child ratio, every tamariki has the care and environment they need to thrive.
Te Runanga o Ngati Ruanui Trust general manager Graham Young said they had created a service with a very clear point of difference and the free trial was a chance for parents to experience it.
“We are mainstream but we offer services over and above the norm,” he said.
Centre education manager Jenny Kershaw said services like their pick up and drop of service put them in a league of their own.
“Parents obviously scout around when they are picking a place for their child, but the ones that make it here say here.
“We have a lot of loving and caring staff with four qualified, including myself, with full degree qualifications.”
She said with covered, off street parking they can offer another layer of safety during drop off and pick up times.
But there isn’t necessarily any need for the parents to leave.
With an open door policy and a comprehensive range of music and physical activities, parent participation is embraced and encouraged.
It is a teaching approach Jenny says sets it apart in the early childhood education sector.
